Invoice Scheduling is the functionality within Topsail to schedule regular invoices to be created automatically. This reduces the need to manually create Invoices by automatically creating an invoice on a given date.
- From the Navigation Panel, under Public Zones, select Projects.
- All existing projects created for your company will be shown. You can search for a specific project in the Search Projects field, or you can choose to filter certain types of projects by clicking on the appropriate Attributes button. You can also scroll through the list of clients and select the appropriate client.
- Select the card for the project you wish to update.
- In the centre of the screen you will see various tab headings allowing you to choose an action for your chosen Project.
- Select the Invoice tab.
- Select Configure Invoice Scheduling. The Project Configuration, Invoice Scheduling modal is displayed.
- Identify the Client to be billed.
- Assign a Schedule Type, either:
- Fixed Amount - for Fixed Price contracts - the invoice will always be for the same amount each month. Enter the amount (£) to invoice and the date of the month the invoice should be created.
- Effort - the system will use the hours submitted and approved in timesheets and bill accordingly. Enter the date of the month the invoice should be created.
- Remember to click Save.
