What is the difference between Client projects and Internal Projects?

Modified on Thu, 16 Feb, 2023 at 12:01 PM

Projects can be:

  • Client Projects meaning project costs will be billed to a particular client.
  • Internal Projects meaning project costs will be funded by internal budgets. Internal projects in Topsail are defined as any non-client work that you want to track on timesheets. This allows you to track other costs that are not charged to a client or directly related to client work, such as internal admin or non-specific business development.

You can add an internal job in the same way as adding a client job. However, there are slight differences in project set up protocols for each type, which are detailed in their respective help articles for each section.
