A Resource Plan is a tool used to input details of who will work on a project or opportunity and the duration and quantity of time they need to spend on it.
In the Resource plan you can define:
- Who will work on the job and what their role will be.
- How long they will work for.
- Their internal hourly cost rate.
- Their external hourly charge rate.
This information is used by the system to calculate project costs.
The Resource Plan is Interactive because it has been designed to be reviewed and updated regularly as part of your Project Management. As project start and end dates move, you will be able to see the effect on employee utilisation.
Once you have completed the initial Project Set Up by following the instructions in Projects: How do I set up a new project? You can proceed to the Interactive Resource Planner to add the next level of detail.
