This tab provides provides a wealth of information relating to timesheets. Users can view hours worked by employees, hours worked by clients and a snapshot of Timesheet hours waiting for approval, approved and submitted.


Last 2 months statistics 

Designed to show a snapshot of hours submitted vis Timesheets, this area shows:

  • Logged hours.
  • Unsubmitted hours (entered into Topsail but not yet submitted for approval).
  • Hours awaiting approval (helpful to identify backlogs).


Last months hours by Employee/Month to Date

These tables give a visual indicator of whether employees have worked their contracted hours. It helps identify quickly if an employee is working too many or too little hours both by last month and month to date.


Utilisation by week report

This table is designed to give you an at-a-glance view of your team's time sheet submissions over a given past period. You can see unsubmitted, unapproved and approved hours for each employee. The information displayed is not editable.


You can select a date range or view the default current date range.


Topsail will display employee names on the left-hand column.


In the table you will see each employee's contracted working hours and then the hours that they have reported via timesheets for each given week.


A colour code will be applied to each cell.

  • Orange - indicates a resource has worked less than contracted hours in a given week.
  • Red - indicates a resource has worked more than contracted hours in a given week.
  • No colour - indicates a resource has worked within a given range of contracted hours in a week.


The thresholds for these settings can be set and edited within the Workspace Management module.


At the bottom of this tab, you can export a CSV file containing time sheet data for a given date period using the Export CSV for Specified Period button. Within this file, you will find details such as the employee's name, client and project name, date, status, role name, comment, duration and chargeable duration, tags, task details and role hourly charge/cost.
